As can be seen from Ptolemy's map and what can be gleaned from ancient stories handed down generations in this country, can we imagine a bigger Sri Lanka?
With its shores almost touching Africa and perhaps Australia? And legends eveoked by the recent Tsunami, subsiding of a part of the country during King Ravana's time, and of course, during historical times - King Kelanitissa's.
Interesting to contemplate indeed.

I profess to know nothing about subsiding of this country, During Ravana's time or recently. But I wonder this country has survived even its shrunken form given the amount of undermining it has suffered. Not to mention coral mining!
