Earthquake Prediction - Sri Lankan Scientists Successfully Predict New Zealand & Japan Earthquakes. Discovery Linked to Planetary Configuration

By Rukshana Rizwie, www.nation.lk

Scientists at the University of Peradeniya who have been studying the occurrences of earthquakes around the world could possibly hold the key to predicting the next big quake.

The scientists have been able to find a significant relationship with the planetary configuration and some of the major earthquakes that have taken place, including the recent 6.3 earthquake that rocked Christchurch in New Zealand.

Almost Every Quake Prediction Made in March Came True

“We predicted according to our research and studies that there was to be an earthquake in New Zealand on February 22 and it occurred,” said Professor Athula Senaratne at the University.

“Almost every quake that we predicted to occur during the month of March did take place,” he said.

BBC Ignored Predictions that Came True

According to him, the university presented its findings long before the quake hit Christchurch in New Zealand. He also added that the findings and predications were forwarded to the BBC, but was not responded to.

“The university is in the process of finalising their predictions for the month of April, and plans to have it released to the public by the first week of April,” He added.

The university will also go public with their findings. When asked of any threat to Sri Lanka during the course of this year, the professor added that earthquakes were a rare occurrence in Sri Lanka, but it was to take place in the Indian Ocean, the threat of a Tsunami were imminent and plausible.”

Consistent Co-relation of Earthquakes & Planetary Configurations Show a Delay of Only a Day or Two

The scientists at the university studied over 136 earthquakes that measured over 6 in magnitude on the Richter scale. “We studied the co-relation of the quakes with solar and lunar eclipse as well as movements of the moon. We didn’t find a consistency hence we proceeded to map out the planetary configuration and their movements as well. We were then able to swiftly connect the dots to the configuration and the quakes,” he said.

The professor added that there is a valid and concrete consistency between the configuration of the planets to the quakes with a delay of only a day or two. “When there is a special arrangements of the plants, we have found that there have been several occurrences of earthquakes, many of which we predicted came true,” he observed.

There is a typo in the last paragraph: "..When there is a special arrangements of the plants," I think its meant to be planets. this could mislead the readers.

@ Hanswan: I think "General Public" is intelligent that you. Any idiot can understand that plant configuration cannot affect earthquake..

Anyway, thanks for pointing that out.

I remember reading a book "Jupiter Effect" by Jhon Gribbin and Stephen Plagemann (Macmillan Press 1974), where the authors try to relate occurences of earth quakes to alignment of the planets and the sun and the moon. However, their predictions for a great planetary conjuction few years back did not come true.
Now it is fortunate that one of our scientist has been able to improve(?) on it and make correct predictions.
Wish him and his coworkers all the success!

What he sais about Japanese earthquake is a lie. in Japan (in April), there were so many after shocks happened but he purposely took one aftershock and tried to cheat general people that his prediction came true. Its really stupid to talk about a aftershock as its a earthquake. He says he predicts earthquakes but took one aftershock and then try to cheat people as its a eartquake.
